It may not sound romantic, but do not tell that to small-business owners who have found their lending soul mate through online matchmaker BoeFly.
BoeFly Co-President David Nayor said the concept was modeled after platforms like eBay.com, Cars.com and various online dating sites.
“Conceptually, it is two parties wanting to find each other, and using profiles and profile settings to do that,” Nayor said.
Hotelier Val Reyes and mortgage broker Chris Miller, of Equity Partners, used BoeFly to find the best loan for Reyes to acquire the Atlantis Inn in Ocean City at the end of 2010.
Reyes, who also operates the Inn on Main in Manasquan, had found a local bank willing to lend him enough money to purchase the inn before working with Miller, but said he knew it was not the best option.
