Loans to Franchises Increased in August and Year Over Year: IFA/BoeFly Franchise Lending Index

The IFA/BoeFly Franchise Lending Index returns to 100 for the first time since Federal Stimulus

New York, N.Y. – Lending to franchise businesses increased by 3.29 percent from July to August this year, according to the monthly Franchise Lending Index from the International Franchise Association (IFA) and BoeFly, the premier online marketplace connecting small business borrowers with lenders and a strategic ally of IFA to expand credit access within the franchise community.

The Index also found that year-over-year loan volume grew by 4.96 percent from August 2012 to August 2013 reaching 100.43. This is the first time the Index has crossed 100 since Federal Stimulus created a spike in December 2010.
